My name is Mrs. April Semple, and this is my seventh
year teaching third-grade students at Van Buren Elementary School
in Stockton, CA. Prior to that, I taught fourth-grade for 2 years,
was a reading resource teacher for 2 years, and have worked with grades
K-12 as a substitute teacher for 14 years.
I received my B.S. from California State University, Northridge and my teaching credential from California State University, Stanislaus. |

I have been married for 35 years. My husband, Jack, has retired from Swanson Farms in Turlock where he was the company's controller. |

We have two sons. Reed is 30 years old and has an AA
degree from Modesto Junior College. He works for Modesto City Schools
in the Maintenance Department. He married Karen in July, 2002 who is taking
classes towards a teaching
credential. |
|
Grant has a B.S. in Business Administration from
San Francisco State University and is currently employed with
Caltrans in Oakland. |
| I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, backpacking, golf, water-skiing, and cross-country skiing. My hobbies are gardening, birdwatching, sewing, and computers. |

Memory of Browny (June 1990-August 21, 2001)
Browny was a Springer Spaniel-Chocolate Lab mix with an out-going personality. She loved going anywhere with our family and enjoyed the company of people. Her welcome bark and and loving kisses are missed by us all. |
